OUR POLICY

Kuku & Dolls is a small, creator-led brand. We collect the least information possible — just what we need to deliver an order, reply to a message, or send the newsletter you signed up for.

We do not sell or rent your information. We do not run advertising trackers. We do not build behavioural profiles for marketing.

This page explains the details. If anything is unclear, write to info@jasminbeautyco.shop and we'll be happy to walk you through it.

We collect information when you choose to give it to us:

• Newsletter signup: your email address, and (for the "This or That" quiz on the About page) your style picks.
• Contact form: your name, email, the reason you're reaching out, and your message.
• Orders & checkout: name, email, shipping address, billing details, and order contents. Payments are processed by Shopify; we do not see or store your full card number.
• Local storage on your device: your shopping cart and whether you've dismissed the cookie banner. This data lives in your browser, not on our servers.

We do not run third-party analytics, advertising pixels, or behavioural tracking on this site.

• To deliver products and process orders.
• To reply to messages you send via the contact form.
• To send you the newsletter you subscribed to (and you can unsubscribe any time).
• To send order confirmations, shipping updates, and receipts.
• To prevent fraud and keep the site secure.
• To comply with our legal obligations.

We share information only with the service providers we use to run the site. They process information on our behalf and are not allowed to use it for their own purposes.

• Shopify — powers our product catalogue and checkout. When you buy something, Shopify handles the payment.
• Resend — sends transactional emails (welcome, contact replies, order receipts).
• Vercel — hosts the website itself.

We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Kuku & Dolls, our customers, or others.

We use a small amount of local storage in your browser to remember your cart and whether you've dismissed the cookie banner. That's it — no advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking.

You can clear local storage at any time from your browser settings.

Kuku & Dolls is designed for children, young teens, and their families. We take kid-safety seriously and apply the strictest standards we know of.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental involvement. If your child is under 13 and you'd like to subscribe to the newsletter or place an order, please do so on their behalf as a parent or guardian.

If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13 without parental consent, email info@jasminbeautyco.shop and we will delete it promptly.

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Ask us to correct or update it.
• Ask us to delete it (subject to legal exceptions, like keeping order records for tax purposes).
• Unsubscribe from the newsletter — every email includes an unsubscribe link.
• Withdraw consent for any optional processing.

To exercise any of these rights, email info@jasminbeautyco.shop.

We keep information only as long as we need it for the purpose we collected it for:

• Newsletter subscribers: until you unsubscribe.
• Contact messages: typically up to 12 months after our last reply.
• Order records: for as long as required for tax and accounting purposes (usually 6 years in Canada).

We use industry-standard providers (Shopify, Resend, Vercel) that encrypt data in transit and at rest. No system is 100% secure, but we work hard to keep your information safe.

Kuku & Dolls is based in Canada. Our service providers may process information in Canada, the United States, or other countries where they operate. By using the site, you consent to your information being transferred to and processed in those countries, subject to safeguards required by applicable law.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes will also be announced via the newsletter.
